What does inequality mean to you?
Ziyanda:
“Two people sitting in the same room and the same space but they literally don’t have access to the same resources or the same information.”
Quan: “The difference, especially in the financial situations, of each individual. It’s like inequality in chances.”
Azka: “I feel like inequality is basically the unequal access of opportunities.”
Yakim: “When there is something above and something below.”
Maya: “When one thing isn’t fair to all people, size, race, like anything—diversity.”

Reducing Inequality

This is the third installment in the Digital2030 Challenges series, specifically designed for youth. By utilizing digital skills and data science, participants can delve into the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and begin crafting solutions to address the numerous challenges that both we and our communities face.

The goal is to start thinking critically about the where, what, why, when and how of the technologies we adopt and use to tackle these problems.

The 2023 Challenge invites YOUTH (13-22) to use digital skills and data science to explore United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

This year, we’ll be focusing on:

  • SDG 10: Reduce inequality within and among countries
