Rising Sea Levels

Each year, Digital Moment’s Digital2030 program introduces a new Challenge aligned with specific Sustainable Development Goals, inviting youth to reflect critically on actions for a more sustainable future while exploring ethical ways to use technology.

The 2027 Challenge invites YOUTH (13-22) to consider how we can use technology to help mitigate the effects of sea level change.

This challenge will focus on:

  • SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities
  • SDG 13: Climate Action
  • SDG 14: Life Below Water
  • SDG 15: Life On Land

A changing climate and melting glaciers and ice caps are contributing to rising sea levels worldwide. This will negatively impact human communities and plant and animal ecosystems. We can meet this challenge by anticipating rising sea levels and planning to protect coastal cities and marine environments.
